In an effort to maintain public safety in the community and defend against domestic threats, Oakley is expanding our laser lens technologies to safeguard against these increasing risks. The SI Ball M Frame Alpha with Laser lens LPL-5+ is designed to block visible green, violet & blue lasers and laser pointers from damaging the wearer’s eyes upon specific Laser encounters. Oakley's LPL-5+ lens provides ballistic protection along with 2.5 Optical Density (OD) that blocks 99.7% of 532nm wavelengths from green lasers & 1.5 Optical Density (OD) that blocks 99.7% of 405-450nm wavelengths from violet/blue lasers. The lens tint’s 42% VLT allows for optimum protection and operation versatility in both bright and low light conditions.

To help maintain the High Definition Optics® (HDO®) of Oakley lenses, your new eyewear comes with a specially-woven electrostatic Microclear™ bag for cleaning and storage. Using it will preserve the superior optical quality of Oakley's pure Plutonite® lenses. Hand wash and air-dry the Microclear™ bag regularly.
