In an effort to maintain public safety in the community and defend against domestic threats, Oakley is expanding our laser lens technologies to safeguard against these increasing risks. The LPL-5+ Lens technology is designed to block visible green, violet & blue lasers and laser pointers from damaging the wearer’s eyes upon specific Laser encounters. Oakley's LPL-5+ lenses provide ballistic protection along with 2.5 Optical Density (OD) that blocks 99.7% of 532nm wavelengths from green lasers & 1.5 Optical Density (OD) that blocks 99.7% of 405-450nm wavelengths from violet/blue lasers. The lens tint’s 42% VLT allows for optimum protection and operation versatility in both bright and low light conditions. Please note: these replacement lenses are for use only with M Frame® 2.0 sunglasses.
